Wednesday Chatter - SN Replays (4/16/2008)

April 16, 2008 By: kel Category: Chatter 100 Comments →

TONIGHT’S REPLAY ON SN - CHATTER HERE - COMMENTS ARE OPEN!

Here’s the written recap for today’s episode as well as the vidcaps.

STARTING OFF WITH AnJ - Jesse’s cooking breakfast…he wants to have breakfast in bed basically - she’s trying to get to work, but that don’t work with him…dragging her back to the bedroom as she says I gotta go make you money. End scene.

We see Chandler mansion and Adam/Colby and Krystal - looks like a fight’s brewing there, which of course will lead to why Angie’s gonna be his doc today.

Intro muzak…

Back to the condo - out from the bedroom - kissing more and teasing each other as Frankie walks in and says looks like he needs to get his own place. End scene.

Back at Chandler Mansion…Colby tells Adam she’s going to PVU - he’s so not happy and says like hell you are. He asks why she wants to settle for PVU and she says it has all she needs there and it’s in state and that it’s cheaper (as if that matters). She says she worries about everyone, JR, Jenny and him. [come on we know it's b/c of Franke!] They argue about Adam’s health and how he isn’t feeling well, etc.

CONDO - Angie, Jesse and Frankie all having family breakfast. Jesse says maybe he should get his medical degree so they can all sit around and talk about doctor things, etc. AnJ start to play more and Frankie reminds them “Your son is in the room.” RUT RHO…FRANKIE’S IN HOT DOO DOO NOW….he suggests Jesse go back to the force! Angie says “I see you want your butt whipped.” End scene.

CONDO - Frankie keeps pushing the cop thing - Angie’s not happy even Jesse agrees and says he no job is more important than his family. Frankie pushes more and Jesse gives him the “boy have you lost your mind look”. Frankie leaves for work gladly. Angie tells Jesse Frankie’s right about some stuff and Jesse says no, he’s staying out of that basically and hugs/kisses her.

And just when you think it’s safe to go in the water…knock, knock on their door…well hello satan, oh sorry y’all I mean Robert…end scene.

CONDO - Back where we left off - Robert at the door. He tells Jesse that he’s that the movie deal fell through and won’t be working on it. Angie looks relieved, Jesse says that’s too bad. Angie’s beeper goes off and she has to leave. Jesse tells Robert he’s glad he came by and wanted to talk to him about Papel. He doesn’t think it’s the same guy who is dead. End scene.

CHANDLER MANSION - Adam’s heart attack has arrived - odd that Angie’s beeper went off a bit ago for something that now just happened but probably just to get her outta the way and ready for Adam’s issues…LOL.

BACK AT CONDO - Jesse and Robert continue their talk. Jesse tells Robert he doesn’t think Raphael was Papel - just doesn’t fit right with him and that he thinks the real Papel made it look like Raphael was Papel instead. You can see Robert both interested and freaking a bit in his eyes as Jesse talks. Scene ends.

AT PVH - We see a cop on a gurney who has been shot. Angie and Frankie are both there. The cop is a 45 year old male shot pursuing a suspect. Angie goes into doctor mode and tells them to get a trauma panel and catscan setup. She calls out to Frankie who is clearly in shock watching it all - no doubt remembering his father’s death or how it could be if Jesse went back on the force. He remains frozen no matter how many times Angie calls out to him. She comes up behind him and looks up at him - sees the terror in his eyes and puts her hand on his arm, patting him gently. “I can’t help but picture… Angie says to him. And he says, “I know mom, it could be dad.” End scene…A very moving scene - catch it on Vidcap 2.

BACK AT PVH - Angie and Frankie are talking walking down the hallway. She says she knows he wants his father to be happy and he says he knows she wants him to be safe. She tells him she thinks they both want the those things and that he will find something. Frankie tells her that he just can’t see his dad as anything but a cop.

CONDO - Jesse still talking to Robert about how he can’t let all of this go. Robert tells him that it’s hard to walk away from the only life he’s known. Robert tries to play the good guy and tells Jesse he has a good life now and to enjoy it. (Ya because he’s gonna take it away from you again Jesse!)

BACK AT PVH - Angie continues her talk with Frankie and asks why she can’t get Jesse to see that his family is enough. Frankie says he wouldn’t be dad if that were the case. She agrees. Frankie talks a bit about when he was growing up and how she told him that Jesse was a hero - brave, strong, honest, fighting for you, his friends…even people he didn’t know. And Frankie wanted to grow up to be like him and still does. “Oh, sweetheart, you’re more like him than you realize. It’s just, we’ve lost so much time all ready,” Angie says.

BACK AT CONDO - Jesse has lost the ability to keep his mouth shut and blabbers about the guys who took him 20 years ago and how they have a head start on him. He figures if Raphael was the head honcho the answer is buried with him. Robert is about to come out of his shoes with glee and asks Jesse if he’s remembering something. Jesse continues to babble aloud and says mabye it was buried with him. Robert must be nearing those 1k cranes as he presses further and says “What do you mean the secret’s buried with you?” Jesse says he had funeral and there was a coffin and that coffin was buried. “And you are thinking”, Robert hisses but only to those of us that see him for the snake he is. Jesse says what was in the coffin or who was in the coffin. “Time to dig you up” Robert says. Jesse agrees. Robert plays the “law” and says he’s sure the cops will want…Jesse stops him and ays no police and says that he thinks the cops may have been in on it. Robert couldn’t be more pleased as he agrees that it’s a good idea to keep this quiet. He then asks Jesse what he thinks may be in the box and Jesse says he doesn’t know but it had to be “important enough to keep him on the run for 20 years or it could be nothing” but either way he was going to find out. Robert says he hopes Jesse can trust him because he’s as anxious as Jesse is to know what’s in that box.

FINAL SCENE @ PVH TODAY - Adam is brought in and Krystal is freaking out. She and Angie talk briefly and Krystal begs her to save his life. Frankie and Colby are there as well.

VIDCAP 2 of 2

DIALOGUE FROM TODAY…

Jesse: Hey, baby.
Angie: Hey.
Jesse: How do you like your eggs
Angie: Fast. I need to get to the hospital.
Jesse: What? And miss this amazing feast?
Angie: Uh — well, ok, maybe i have a little bit of time.
Jesse: That’s what I’m talking about.
Angie: So, what you cooking?
Jesse: Hmm?
Angie: What you cooking? Breakfast?
Jesse: Breakfast who?
Angie: Oh, baby, I really do have to get to work.
Jesse: Oh, no, you don’t. No, you don’t Mrs. Hubbard. We got some work to take care of back here. Angie: Oh, I got to go make your money.

—————–

Jesse: I hope you like your bacon well-done.
Angie: [Laughs] Well, I think you did it pretty well already.
Jesse: Hey, you know I was a short-order cook in oregon for about six months?
Angie: Well, I’d like to order up something else from the cook.
Jesse: Seconds? Really? I love you.
Frankie: Oh, really?
Angie: Oh, who are you?
Frankie: Just like that? In the morning?
Jesse: Want some breakfast?
Frankie: Try running that by me again, dad, but after you turn your shirt inside out.
Jesse: Woo-woo! Ha-ha. Come on, man, I got bacon and eggs for you.
Angie: Hi, good morning, Frankie. We were just —
Frankie: Well, looks like i need to get my own place.

—————–

Angie: You’re not moving out of here. Not yet.
Frankie: Last I checked, I had a job and a life.
Jesse: Last I checked, we were still your parents.
Frankie: Way to slip back in there, dad.
Angie: Look, can I help it if i want to keep my men close to me, just for a little while?
Jesse: Come on, Frankie, we set a plate for you. There’s plenty.
Frankie: Sorry, guys. I got to jet back to the hospital. I got an extra shift to pi up. Got to eat and run.
Jesse: You know, maybe I should get my medical degree. You know, white doctor coat and the stethoscope, the whole nine.
Angie: I’d like to see that.
Jesse: No, I’m serious. We could sit around all day and talk about blood pressure and vital signs. Frankie: [Groans] I don’t know about that one, dad.
Jesse: You wound me, son, to the core. Come on, I got to find something to keep me out of trouble.
Angie: You’ll find something.
Jesse: Yeah, movie star or male model.
Angie: Hmm.
Frankie: See, now you’re fooling.
Angie: Forget him. It sounds sexy to me, baby.
Franklin: Your son is in the room.
Jesse: I think I’m more suited for, what, sales type of guy? What am I talking about? I got a wife and a son. You’re both doctors. I’m going to kick back, chill, let you all bring home the bacon. I’m going to let you be my sugar mommy. How’s that?
Frankie: Or you could go back to the force.
Angie: I see you want your butt whipped.
Jesse: Being a cop is my past. This — you and your mother — is my future.
Franklin: Why can’t you have both?
Angie: The same reason I don’t want him digging around the closed Papel case. We lost your father for 20 years because of his career. We’re not taking that chance again.
Frankie: But it’s what dad loves to do. That’s obvious.
Angie: How was your shift? Any challenging patients?
Frankie: Mom, come on. What else is dad going to do if it’s not going to be some cop/detective thing?
Angie: It’s just too risky.
Frankie: Mom, every job has risks.
Jesse: Frankie, there is no job that is more important to me than you and your mother, all right? Frankie: But it’s not just about the job to you, is it dad? Oh, shucks, I’m late. I got to run back to the hospital. I’ll see you later. Angie: I’ll be there soon. Frankie’s right.
Jesse: No, he’s not.
Angie: No, you can’t hide it, Jesse.
Jesse: What? How much I love you?
Angie: No, you love your work. It’s who you are.
Jesse: Stop it, stop it. You are not going to lose me again. I am never, never, never going to lose you again.

[DOOR KNOCKS]

Jesse: Robert. Good to see you, man.
Robert: I hope this isn’t a bad time, is it?
Jesse: Not at all. Come on in.
Robert: Thank you very much.
Jesse: What’s up?
Robert: Well, you know that movie deal I was telling you about. You know, it looks like that’s fallen through.
Jesse: Well, that’s — sorry to hear that.
Robert: Yeah, well, they say it happens out there all the time, so — anyway, it gives me a chance to get on with my life, I guess, huh?
[Pager beeps]
Angie: Oops, that’s my cue to get to the hospital. See you later, baby.
Jesse: All right, gorgeous. Hey, don’t worry. I’m going to clean all this up. You know, I got to earn my keep.
Angie: All right, have a good day.
Jesse: You, too, baby.
[Door closes]
Jesse: So, can I get you something — juice, coffee?
Robert: No, I’m fine, thank you.
Jesse: You know, actually, I’m kind of glad you stopped by.
Robert: Really? Why?
Jesse: Yeah, I wanted to pick your brain about something.
Robert: Oh, sure. What — what can I do?
Jesse: I don’t think the guy that you shot was the same guy that stole 20 years of my life.

Jesse: Well, there’s no doubt this Raphael guy was dirty, but head man in charge? Doesn’t add up.
Robert: What makes you think that?
Jesse: Gut feeling I have.
Robert: My gut’s been wrong more often than it’s been right.
Jesse: Yeah. I feel I need to find some real proof, you know? A paper trail, a witness.
Robert: Offshore accounts weren’t enough?
Jesse: It doesn’t make sense. I mean, anybody could have set Raphael up to take the fall. Say, for instance, the real Papel.
Robert: The real Papel? Jesse, I think you need to worry less about the man and more about the information.
Jesse: Like why they were after me in the first place?
Robert: Exactly.
Jesse: Yeah, honestly, I have no idea.
Robert: There must be something you’re missing.
Jesse: Yeah, been trying to figure that one out since all of this started, man.
Robert: And you’re not any closer, huh?
Jesse: I’m as clueless today as I was 20 years ago. I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s all I think about.

TODAY’S DIALOGUE

Jesse: Oh, hey. Got that emergency all under control, Dr. Hubbard?
Angie: The patient was a koala bear.
Jesse: Yeah, well, I’m willing to bet that you were the one to solve the problem.
Angie: I had to amputate his thumbs.
Jesse: That dude was lucky that you were on call, I’ll tell you that.
Angie: No, you’re the one who is lucky. With me working in the E.R., You had time to obsess.
Jesse: Oh, no, Gardner just sent this papel file over. I’m just trying to help him, you know —
Angie: Let somebody else help Robert Gardner. Anybody but you.

——

Angie: You send this pile of junk back to Robert Gardner, or I’ll set a match to it.
Jesse: Come on, Angela, don’t —
Angie: You know, 20 years of memories, Jesse. Halloween, Christmas trees, Frankie’s science fair ribbons, you — you missed all that because of — because of this!
Jesse: I know what I took from you.
Angie: I’m not talking about you. I’m talking about this drug lord and his scum. Now, the man is dead. Let him rot in his grave. You and I are just starting to live.
Jesse: Gardner’s just trying to help these people write a movie.
Angie: Is there a part in there for me? Look, let them write it and leave us alone.
Jesse: I want to know what happened to us, all right? I need to know why I had to run to stay alive, why I had to steer clear of my family so they wouldn’t be hurt!
Angie: What difference does it make? It’s over. Let’s just live our lives!
Jesse: I don’t know if I can do that, baby.
Angie: What are you saying? Jesse:
I need to know the reasons. I need facts. I need answers.
Angie: What if there are no answers, jesse?
Jesse: Oh, there are always answers, baby. Just got to know where to find them.

——ROBERT AT THE PV HOTEL—-

Robert: Yeah, it’s good.
Waiter: A hobby?
Robert: Oh, it’s more than just a hobby. It’s an ancient, mystical practice.
Waiter: How does it work?
Robert: You fold a thousand cranes, and your wish will come true.
Waiter: How many cranes have you made so far?
Robert: 638.
Waiter: That’s one giant wish. Hope it comes true.
Robert: I’m certain it will.

——CONDO WITH ANJ——-

Jesse: I gave up my wife and my son. And I need to know what for.
Angie: To stay alive. You managed that. Now, put this away and live.
Jesse: Sweetie, you don’t even care why we lost so much?
Angie: I’m grateful for what we’ve got, and I want to keep it for a lot of tomorrows. I want to — I want to blow out birthday candles. I want to light sparklers for the fourth of july. I want to fall asleep in your arms every night and wake up with you every morning.
Jesse: You think I don’t want that? Baby, I want that more than anything. Someone stole that from us. You don’t want to know who, or why?
Angie: Papel is the “who.” We know that.
Jesse: We know what we’ve been told.
Angie: I choose to believe the F.B.I. And as for what Papel wanted, I don’t give a damn.
Jesse: I’m sorry, baby, but I do. I need to nail down every detail. I need to follow every lead — follow every trail I possibly can.
Angie: You won’t let this go.
Jesse: I can’t. I can’t.
Frankie: Neither can I.

Angie: Are you telling me we’re still in danger?
Jesse: Not necessarily.
Angie: Would that be a “yes” or a “no”?
Frankie: It’s a “need to know more.”
Jesse: The boy is right.
Frankie: I ain’t no “boy.” I’m a man.
Jesse: You’re my boy.
Angie: And right now, the similarities are scaring me. Look, we know Papel is dead, so it’s not like we’re going to get any justice. Why do we need to know more than that?
Jesse: Because it might be important.
Angie: “Important” how?
Jesse: That’s what we need to find out.
Angie: You know what, you’re speaking in circles, Jesse, and you’re giving me a damn stupid headache. Now, why can’t we just live our lives?
Jesse: Because someby could still be out there waiting to pounce.
Angie: What have we got to “pounce” on? Pots and pans? A toaster oven? A vibrating chair? What fool would “pounce” for any of that?
Jesse: A fool who thought we might have more.

—Back at condo w/AnJ and Frankie——

Jesse: I don’t know. The Papel guy that the bureau has tagged, there’s something off with that. I mean, his profile, it just doesn’t scream “criminal genius” to me.
Angie: Maybe that’s his special talent, passing himself off as a regular guy.
Frankie: No, it doesn’t add up.
Angie: How would you know? What experience do you have with this sort of thing?
Frankie: Oh, well, hateration. Mom, I was a soldier on the front line. I have experience more than you know. Now, something’s wrong.
Angie: Oh, something’s very, very wrong, but it’s not in the file, it’s the two of you. We finally get a normal life and you want to blow it to bits.
Frankie: Mom, all I’m saying —
Angie: Oh, I don’t to hear any more. I’m going to the market and roll my cart up and down the aisles and pretend I’m a normal person and that my husband and my son are normal, too. Now, you work with that, will you, while I’m away as a favor to me? Mother’s day’s in a couple of weeks. Skip the candy, the flowers, and the dinner. All I want is a sane, rational, normal life.

[Door slams]

Jesse: Normal. Well, after the 20 years I just went through, I will never be normal again.
Frankie: Yeah, me, either. After Baghdad, I don’t know who I am anymore. Jesse: It can’t be easy, face to face with all that death over there in Iraq.
Frankie: Well, yeah, well, i caused some of it personally.
Jesse: You were in a war, Frankie. You couldn’t save everybody.
Frankie: I actually killed three people.
Jesse: Enemies. You either take them out or they take you out, right?
Frankie: U.S. Infantry.
Jesse: What?
Frankie: I caught a kid on the street beaten half to death. He couldn’t have been no more than 15. He said he got into it over some girl he liked, a girl from a rival sect — some sect or something. Anyway, I took him in to get him patched up, but I didn’t think to check him for weapons.
Jesse: Oh, god. I know how this ends.
Frankie: Guy takes out a gun and opens up and kills three patients lying on their bed — not just our guys, my guys, my personal friends. Then he offs himself.
Jesse: This wasn’t your fault, frankie.
Frankie: That’s what they keep telling me. So, whose fault was it?
Jesse: This is war, man! War is insane. War is hell.
Frankie: Well, if war is hell, what does that make me?
Jesse: No, don’t — whoa, whoa, whoa, don’t do that, man. Don’t carry this on your shoulders alone. You got to let it go. Frankie: How? Tell me how.
Jesse: Frankie —
Frankie: Don’t tell mom. She thinks I’m a hero, but I’m a murderer. I might as well have pulled the trigger myself.
Jesse: You are not a murderer. You were in service to your country. Now, that really hasot to count for something.

——PV HOTEL - Angie visits scumbag Robert—–

Robert: Dr. Hubbard.
Angie: “Angie,” remember?
Robert: Angie, come on in. Come on in.
Angie: Thank you.
Robert: It’s good to see you. Can I get you something or —
Angie: Uh, yes, you can — my life back. Jesse is so caught up in your file that he can’t let go of the past. I mean, the more information you give him, the more fixated he is on things he can’t begin to understand.
Robert: Well, I thought it would help him working on the story with me. I thought it would put things in perspective.
Angie: No, the only thing Jesse thinks will put it in perspective is finding out exactly what happened, why he was targeted, who was after him, what they wanted.
Robert: Papel is the answer to most of those questions.
Angie: “Most” isn’t good enough. Jesse won’t rest until he knows all.
Robert: Some of our questions may never be answered.
Angie: I understand that, but Jesse can’t and that’s why I’m asking you, Robert. I’m begging you, really, as as a favor to me, back off.

—–Back At Condo - Jesse & Frankie / Iraq——

Jesse: You did what you thought was right at the time. All right?
Frankie: And I murdered three U.S. Soldiers.
Jesse: You did not murder any soldiers — don’t do this to yourself, would you? Let it go. Just let it go.
Frankie: It’s not going to happen.
Jesse: Time, Frankie. Time. I mean, look at me. After all this time, I finally get my son back. Time. Come here.

——PV HOTEL - Angie w/scumbag Robert—–

Robert: I have a confession to make. I have not been completely honest.
Angie: What? With jesse or me?
Robert: Well, I don’t really need a consultant for that movie.
Angie: Then why draw jesse into all of this?
Robert: I’m embarrassed to say it. I — I just — I wanted someone to talk to. See, I have very few friends here — actually, none.
Angie: Oh, robert, you’re welcome at our house any time. Look, you saved my husband and my son. You have permanent seat at my table.
Robert: Oh, that means a lot to me, Angie. It really does.
Angie: If you would just please talk to Jesse about something besides Papel.
Robert: Oh, believe me, I have other interests.
