Angie and Jesse

Greetings AnJ Lovers!

Today’s episode recap will begin when our storyline starts and will be updated LIVE throughout the hour or as soon as otterly possible.

Okay here we go…

At PVH we see Angie in Randi’s room and Jake is also there talking to her. In a stern voice Angie tells him that nurse Whitbeck is looking for him and has questions about a patient’s discharge. He makes a remark that it’s probably about Mr. Yates and he’s a big fat troublemaker. Angie tells him that he should probably get going calling him Dr. Martin and that she can take it from here. Then she and Randi have a very short but tense conversation, here it is verbatim:

Randi: You’re not my biggest fan, are you?
Angie: I don’t even know you.
Randi: You know enough. You know I’m a prostitute.
Angie: That’s not my business.
Randi: But your son is. Look, I’m not into Frankie if that’s what you’re worried about.
Angie: Trust me. It’s not.

End scene…commercials

At PVH we see Frankie walking down the hallway with Jake. Jake is asking what is the matter with him. Frankie tells Jake is nothing the matter with him and Jake responds by saying that a little conversation wouldn’t kill him. “She had no right to take me off the case”, Frankie says. Jake asks who she is and Frankie tells him it’s his mother. Jake tells him that he’s too emotionally involved with this case and it was the doctor in charge that took him off this case. They then have a conversation about Frankie being emotionally involved or not. Frankie defends Randi by saying that she was a woman who got beat up and he had to do something about it. Jake questions whether he had to do it or he chose to do it? “I don’t know, there’s just something about her,” Frankie answers. “Right! And you’re not emotionall involved,” Jake says. End scene.

Cut over to Randi’s room - Angie and Randi continue their shall we say discussion and Angie is in full mama mode not to mention not taking any crap LOL! Here’s their convo:

Randi: I’m not interested in your son. In fact, I wish Frankie wouldn’t have gotten involved. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have got this beat down in the first place.

Angie: Don’t blame your situation on Frankie. Every day you work the streets is another day you take a risk. A risk with your body, Randi. Your life.

Randi: Exactly. My life. So, why won’t you people just let me live it?

Angie: You know, you work for a man who hurts you, and — and countess other women, I’m sure. And, instead of you protecting yourself — protecting them — you’re looking out for him.

Randi: You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Angie: Oh, yes, I think I do. You’re frightened. You feel alone. But hanging on to this — this abusive man is not the answer.

Randi: Damn, what is it with you and Frankie? You guys think you have all the answers, don’t you?

Angie: Well, maybe if you just listen —

Randi: Get off my case, ok? If it wasn’t for Frankie, I wouldn’t even be here.

Angie: Look, don’t you try to spin this on Frankie. You want someone to blame for what happened to you, start looking in a mirror.

End scene - MEOW! Anybody got catnip? LOL U go Angie!

BACK AT PVH - Jake and Frankie continue their conversation. Jake asks Frankie if on a scale of one to 10 what Randi is - a 15? Frankie can’t figure out why Randi is selling herself on the streets and letting some nasty pimp run her life. Jake tells him who knows why people do what they do. Frankie defends Randi by saying she smart and beautiful and tough enough to make it through boot camp. And follows that up with saying that she could have any guy she wants. Jake agrees and then says like a doctor? Frankie says he didn’t say that and Jake tells him he didn’t have to say it. Frankie reminds him that he is his mentor and asked what say you. Jake says Frankie needs to get over it and Frankie says “Thanks, Jake that’s alot of help”. End scene.

Over in Randi’s cubicle Randy’s tearing Angie a new one. “Where the hell do you get off, anyway? It’s my fault I got the crap beaten out of me?” she snaps. Angie apologizes and says she couldn’t just stand there and let her dump the blame on Frankie. She explains a Frankie was only trying to help her. “Yeah. Well, for the millionth time, I don’t need or want his help, or yours,” Randi says. “Are you sure about that?” Angie replies as the scene ends.

COMMERCIALS…

IN RANDI’S CUBE - She and Angie continue their dialogue:

[Randi sighs] Randi: Look, it’s not like I have a lot options doing what I do, ok?
Angie: Oh, Randi, I don’t believe that. You’re a smart, young woman. I think you’ve got a lot of options.
Randi: Once you’re in, you’re in.
Angie: Well, it doesn’t have to be that way. Go to the police. Put this creep away for a long time.
Randi: I can’t. If he ever found out that I was the one who ratted on him, the next time I was in here, you’d be rolling me off to the morgue.
Angie: Randi, you were almost headed to the morgue this time. Stop protecting him.
Randi: It’s me I’m protecting.
Angie: No. You nearly died and now you’re giving this guy the — the chance to finish the job.
Randi: And why shouldn’t I? What would it matter, anyway?
Angie: What are you talking about?
Randi: Be for real, Dr. Hubbard. If I disappear, who would even know I was gone?

End Scene.

PVH HALLWAY - Jake and Frankie’s convo continues. Frankie says there is nothing wrong with him wanting to save Randi and Jake agrees. “But does Randi want that” he asks back to Frankie. From what Jake’s witnessed he thinks Randi does not want Frankie interferring with her life. Frankie says that Randi doesn’t know what she wants and Jake tells him that it’s not Frankie’s job to tell Randi what she wants. “So what? Just supposed to stop, turn around, give up, wait till she lands in the hospital?” Frankie asks Jake. Jake tells him that he is supposed to wait for Randi to ask him for help. “And what if she doesn’t,” Frankie says. Jake tells him if she doesn’t then Frankie needs to do what his does, i.e. fix broken bones, etc. Jake makes one last statement and says”When it comes to fixing her, that’s her call, not yours,” as the scene ends.

WRAPPING UP TODAY…

RANDI’S CUBE - Angie asks if Randi if she has a family out there in Randi says she’s got a sister but they haven’t spoken for years. Angie says that they could give her call and Randi says they just hang up on her. Angie continues to probe and asks if she has any friends. Randi tells her to just let alone. Here’s more of their dialogue:

Angie: Randi, there has to be somebody we can contact.
Randi: I can make someone up for you.
Angie: You know, you suffered a severe trauma. You shouldn’t go through this alone.
Randi: I’m a big girl. Don’t look at me like that.
Angie: Listen, if you decide that you need to talk —
Randi: What? You’re going to get all Oprah on me? Just as long as I stay away from your precious little baby boy, right? Thanks, but I’ll pass.
Angie: I’m here if you change your mind.

After Angie leaves. Jake knocks on Randi’s cube/door. Randi is relieved to see that it’s him. He asks if she was expecting somebody else and she tells them know she’s just glad it wasn’t Dr. Hubbard. Jake asks which Dr. Hubbard and she says “Mama Hubbard. She’s so damn intense.” He asks if he can get her anything and Randi tells him no. She does ask him if the other Dr. Hubbard is around and he tells her that he thinks he’s off for the night and wants to know why she’s asking about him. She tells him that she was just wondering. End scene.

Out in the hallway, Angie meets up with Frankie as he’s on his way out. She asks him to wait and then tells him that she’s sorry that she pulled him off the case as his superior, but as his mom… he stops her and says that he gets it. “It sucks, but you know, you had to do what you had to do.” She asks if he’s angry at her and he says never. She smiles and tells him that she’s going to remind him of that one day. He smiles back and says ok and that she did make the right call. She says she’ll see him at home and that she loves him. He tells her he loves her too as the scene ends.
