Thursday’s Episode (6/19/08)
Greetings AnJ Lovers!
Today’s episode recap will begin when our storyline starts and will be updated LIVE throughout the hour or as soon as otterly possible.
OKAY HERE WE GO —
HUBBARD BROWNSTONE - Angie’s putting away dishes. There’s a knock on the door and it’s Krystal. Angie apologizes for asking her to come over when Tad just got home and Krystal tells her it’s okay. Angie tells her that she and Jesse had a fight. Krystal asks how bad and she says reasonably bad. Krystal tells her now they get to make up and it will be alright. Angie is terrified Jesse won’t come home and she’ll never see him again. She can’t take it and starts to break down.
TAD’S HOUSE - Tad is playing tea party with Kathy - he’s so adorable with her! Jesse arrives and tells him about him and Angie. Tad tells him to go back home and make up with her. “What if I don’t want to fall on my sword, Tad,” Jesse says. End scene.
POSTING…
BROWNSTONE - Angie tells Krystal about Jesse wanting to be a cop again and how terrified she is of losing him. She can’t take the stress of it all and she continues to break down. Angie totally understands what Jesse’s career means to him and hers as well. She tells Krystal the difference is that if Jesse asked her to leave her career for them to be able to be together, she would, but he won’t. She’s so frazzled that she goes to pick up glasses from the table and drops/breaks one. She starts to cry or rather continues to and the scene ends.
COMMERCIALS…
TAD’S HOUSE - Jesse and Tad talk about how good it is to be surrounded by family and about what’s going on with Angie and Jesse. Here’s their dialogue because it’s just too good to recap!
Tad: She has got to be my daughter because she’s a real fan of the power nap.
Jesse: Check you out, man. Full tilt, papa mode. Suits you. You’ve got both your daughters, dude. Kathy and Jenny. You’re surrounded by family.
Tad: We both are.
Jesse: Yeah, feels good, doesn’t it? It’s the way it should be.
Tad: Yeah. Jesse: Happy for you, Tad.
Tad: I’m happy for me, too. So what about you? How come you don’t want to apologize to Angela?
Jesse: Of course I want to apologize. It’s just —
Tad: You want to win.
Jesse: It’s not about winning or losing, Tad. This is about my life.
Tad: Which you share with a woman. Don’t kid yourself. Apologize. Things will go a lot easier.
Jesse: I’m a cop, Tad. Come on, I live it, I eat it, i believe in it. And Angela is just flat out saying no.
Tad: You caught a bullet on the job. She thought she lost you.
Jesse: She didn’t lose me because of that bullet.
Tad: Whatever, ok? You disappeared for 20 years. Don’t think she’s not worried about the next time.
Jesse: You’re taking her side.
Tad: I’m not taking anybody’s side. I understand why she’s worried about you. Two decades, baby. That leaves a hell of a scar.
Jesse: For both of us. I mean, I’m finally free and clear of that messed-up past of mine and now she wants me to work at a university?
Tad: Maybe it was all in the way you pitched it to her. Just tell her it’s a desk job. Maybe it’s just lot of paperwork. Did you say that?
Jesse: All she sees is bullets and bombs, man.
Tad: Well, she’s scared.
Jesse: Well, you know what? It’s not right. She — I can’t live my life because she’s afraid of something that’s not going to happen?
Tad: You can’t guarantee that.
Jesse: I’ve got to live my life the way I’ve got to live my life, Tad. Angela used to understand that. Now she wants to make me choose. I really don’t think she has a right to do that.
BROWNSTONE - Krystal tells Angie that she has every right to ask Jesse not to take the job back at the force. Angie wishes she could convince Jesse to do so. Krystal says there are tons of jobs out there and asks if he has anything that interests him. Angie tells her that there is a position at PVU but Jesse is 100% cop. Here’s the rest of their dialogue:
Angie: Krystal, you should have seen him at the hospital with those rookies investigating richie novak, totally in charge. He really is good at it. Great. I’m still too afraid.
Krystal: Oh, of course you are.
Angie: You know, I don’t know. Maybe it’s all about me. Maybe I don’t love him enough.
Krystal: That’s interesting that you should say that. But you know what? Coming from you, that is the craziest thing I have ever heard.
Angie: Then why wouldn’t I let go of the fear and shut up? Why wouldn’t I let him do what he needs to do to feel whole? Krystal: You think you’re being selfish?
Angie: I don’t know, maybe. You know, Cassandra’s father Jacob, he was a composer, worked at home. I never had to worry he’d get more than a paper cut.
Krystal: Nice and safe.
Angie: Jesse will never settle for nice and safe, and I don’t want him to. But I’m not going to hold my breath every time a cop is rushed into the E.R. Jesse died in my arms once, and I won’t go through that again.
END SCENE
BROWNSTONE - Jesse comes back home. He and Angie have an awkward stare, but then he gives her that half smile and they walk toward each other and kiss. They both smile and then Jesse says “I took the job.” Angie looks at him and you know she’s thinking cop job … End scene.
