Greetings AnJ Lovers!

Today’s episode recap will begin when our storyline starts and will be updated LIVE throughout the hour or as soon as otterly possible.

OKAY HERE WE GO — FIRST SCENE IS AnJ :)

BROWNSTONE - Jesse is looking at an old photo of him in his uniform. He hears Angie coming and puts the photo down and helps her in with the groceries. He asks how she is and she tells him about everyone sharing their memories of Julia at PVH and how rough that was. He tells he he wants to talk about the job offer and she says that she thought this was over. He wants to make an addendum to their agreement and asks her to hear him out. End scene.

PVH Chapel - Tad and Dixie. Tad asks Dixie is if this is real, is she really here and she says “Yes, Tad, I’m really here.” End scene.

INTRO MUZAK

BACK IN THE CHAPEL - Tad tells Dixie how much he’s missed her and goes to get up and falls back into the chair. Dixie tells him that he’s very much alive and he’s going to stay that way. She lifts her hand and we hear this strange etheral sound as her hand emits a white glow. She asks him to take her hand and he refuses because he’s afraid when he closes his eyes she won’t be there again. She tells him it’s okay and he reluctantly puts his hand in hers and she tells him to close his eyes. They are then transported to what looks like a forrest but you can see the night sky full of stars. He asks where they are and she tells him they are at a place where they can make a wish again. They both laugh and the scene ends.

BACK AT THE BROWNSTONE - A storm is brewing in the Hubbard’s home as Jesse pleads his case about taking the police chief job. He tells her it’s a desk job he won’t be in the field. She tells him she knows he’ll be at his desk long enough to count paperclips and find a reason to be in the field and she doesn’t have the time or energy for any of that. End scene.

TODAY’S WRITTEN RECAP CONTINUED…

FORREST/STAR/WISH LAND - Tad see his and Dixie’s star and says he’s never seen it so bright. Dixie tells them it’s not been that bright since their first wishes they made and asks Tad if he remembers. Here’s their dialouge

Tad: Remember, how could I forget? Christmas Eve, Memorial park, I was so lonely I thought I was going to fall apart. That was the first time I saw it. I figured, well, got nothing to lose, why not make a wish? I wished for all the confusion to go away, for love and understanding. Who am I kidding? I basically wished for you.

Dixie: And I was so close. Same night, in the same park, wishing on the same star. I thought I lost you forever, but then I wished to have you back. And there you were.

Dixie: You know, I’ve been hearing them, Tad. All the wishes that you’ve been making since I’ve been gone.

Tad: Yeah? Hmm, well, I guess you know that they’ve come true. All of them. I got her back. Kate’s home. Somehow, someway, you’ve come back to me.

END SCENE

BROWNSTONE - Angie tells Jesse that she knows it isn’t easy and how much being a cop meant to him. He quickly corrects her and says “means to me”. She tells him they have already lost 20 years because of that. He asks her what she would do if she couldn’t be a doctor anymore and is there something else in her life that she’d want to do that holds the same passion for her. He tells her that there is nothing that he wants more to do with his life than be a cop because that is who he is. End scene.

WISH LAND - Dixie tells Tad that he found their little girl, but he tells her she’s responsible - just admit it. He begs her to admit that Adam wasn’t going crazy, he really did see her and she’s the only reason he admitted it to him. Dixie won’t give that to him and says just tell me about Kate. “Tell me everything,” she says. Tad tells her that Kate is so fine, she’s like a miracle - she’s magic and she looks so much like Dixie. Kate has Dixie’s eyes but there’s a bit of Martin twinkle in there. He’s concerned that Kate is so vulnerable and how much she’s lost and been through with adoptive parents dying, etc. Dixie tells him that she’ll be alright now because she has him. “I want her to have you too,” he tells her. Dixie says she’ll always be there for Kate in her heart. “But you get to be there as her best friend and the greatest teacher that she’ll ever have. She’s the most blessed little girl in the world to have you for a father,” Dixie says. “You’re going to have to go away again, aren’t you?” he asks. Dixie says let’s not talk about that and says she’s here now. She asks if he’ll do a favor for her and he of course says anything. “Make me laugh,” she says. End scene.

NEXT WISH LAND SCENE - Tad is telling Dixie about a fertility mask that Jamie sent to him and how it turned his face blue for three days he looked like a smurf. Dixie laughs and he asks her about what it’s like where she is in heaven. She tells him there’s no sorrow, no regret and you feel as big as the universe and so close to God. She tells him her mother was there and also Tad’s grandmother (Kate). He can’t believe she’s seen Kate and asks about her. Dixie tells him that Kate watches out for him all the time and how wonderful she is and mostly how thrilled she is about her granddaughter. Dixie then tells Tad that he has a long life in front of him and he needs to stay here and raise their daughter. He has to look after JR, Jamie and Jenny. “I need to go back, and I need you to let me go this time,” she says. “I can’t do it. I’ve tried. I can’t let you go,” Tad tells her. End scene.

FINAL SCENE AT THE BROWNSTONE - Angie tells Jesse there’s a line that has to be drawn. She would never give up her family for her work and she’s scared to death that’s what is going to happen with Jesse again. Jesse tells her that she’s not ging to lose him again and she tells him he’s making promises that he can’t possibly guarantee. “That’s what I heard before. Every morning that you walked out that door,’d say goodbye and my gut would twist. I’d be scared all day long until you came home again. And then the day finally came when you didn’t come back, when I thought I saw you die in that hospital and I lived with that for 20 years,” she tells him. He tries to comfort her but she says she can’t do it again and she can’t ask Frankie or Cass to go through that either. He sees how much pain she is in and holds her and tells her he’s sorry. End scene.

Their final dialogue:

Jesse: I’m going to call Sam Woods and tell him I’m not going to take the job.
Angie: I’m sorry, Jesse. I wish I could feel differently.
Jesse: I understand.

FINAL WISH LAND SCENE - Tad begs Dixie not to leave him. “Oh, honey, it’s not my choice. It’s not your choice and it’s not mine. Deep inside, you know that. There are rules. We all have our time, and it simply isn’t your time. And you know why,” she tells him. Here’s the rest of their dialogue:

Tad: Because of Kate.

Dixie: Yes. And Jenny. Kate has been through so much. Both your daughters need the special love that only their father can give them.

Tad: What about together forever?

Dixie: Forever is a very long time. You still have a long life ahead of you, but in the grand scheme of things, it will seem like the blink of an eye.

Tad: That’s still too long, as far as I’m concerned, without you.

Dixie: You and I, we’re soul mates. That’s why we fell in love so fast. That’s why we find each other every time we’re separated. It’s why we wish on the same star. It’s why we’ll always be together, forever. Come on, tell me you understand.

Tad: I have to let you go.

Tad: I just wish…I wish I could touch you. I wish I could touch you one last time.

Dixie: You can.

Dixie: When your time does come, you’ll understand.

Dixie: Just know that you’re free now to move on, to live your life, to love again.

Tad: Goodbye, Dixie.

END SCENE - END EPISODE.
