Friday’s Episode (3/28/08)
Here we go….Finally there they are -third scene in today - can you tell I’m impatient for my peeps? 
We see Jesse and Angie at home and they are talking about if it is all over. Angie tells him all they need to worry about now is if her romantic dinner had enough dinner for two! Jesse looks very worried as Angie smiles and we fade into intro muzak.
Back from muzak….OOOOHHH VIDCAP COMING ON THIS ONE….it’s them again - oh so sweet - sorry dont’ mean to torment you!!! Angie is telling Jesse he doesn’t need to worry anymore and they smile and kiss a bit. She asks him if she picked a good wine and he says the best year was the year he met her and kisses her. Now he’s talking about Derek and the cop shop. And she tells him what we saw in the preview and that she’ll tie him up (hmmm, no don’t go there gurls)…he says he’s staying with her and they are on their way having a romantic evening.
Switch over to Opal with slimey Robert. OMG I can’t stand either one of these two - why, oh why does Tad’s momma have to be so stupid when it comes to men? He’s gonna get her drunk now - oy.
I can’t watch…but I will for you all…he’s telling her thanks for not holding his brother against him and he hopes Tad will do the same. She thanks him for keeping a watch on Erica’s case and they switch over to Erica.
AND NOW A VIDCAP YOU’LL ALL JUST LOVE ME FOR LOL..ENJOY
Since then it’s mostly been Erica or Zach/Ryan moments. We did see Opal and slimey Robert again - and she’s still cooing like a desperate woman. She tells him she thinks Tad will come around and he flirts more with her.
THEN…OMG more A&J - so very touching and now I see more coming on after the break…yes you get a vidcap - I must go watch and take it in so I can take it off and edit for you as soon as it’s over… TISSUE ALERT - Vidcap is below - remember you need your tissues handy gurls - this is a great one! It’s a meaty one at 5 minutes, plus..enjoy!
Okay admit it - you know the tissues came in doubly handy for fanning yourself with that scene huh?
Another scene with Opal and Robert follows the vidcap above. He’s still coming on to her and she’s licking it up like a puppy. She wants to read his palm because she thinks there’s more to him than he’s letting on. Robert looks a bit nervous (go figure) as he hands his palm to her. We see a guy enter the club, can’t make out who it is…but I’m thinking he’s somebody we need to keep en eye on. Okay continuing on…this guy from the shadows does know Robert and he’s there to help out with the whole Jesse situation. You can just feel that…here is some of Opal’s dialogue with Robert:
Robert: You are a delight. You are absolutely charming.
Opal: Well, you’re not so bad yourself, sailor.
Robert: Oh, now.
Opal: Here, let me read your palm.
Robert: Ooh –
Opal: I think there’s more to you than you let on.
Robert: No, I don’t know what that’d be.
Opal: Hmm? Well — oh, look right here. This here is your mound of mercury.
Robert: Oh.
Opal: And that means that you, kind sir, are shrewd in your profession. You see?
Robert: Came in handy.
Opal: Mm-hmm, I’ll bet it did.
Robert: Yes.
Opal: Hmm.
Robert: Anything in there about being on time?
Opal: All right, ok, I get the hint. I got to get over to the hospital myself, but maybe we’ll have dinner sometime.
Robert: Well, I’d love that.
Opal: Well, you get lonely, you give me a call.
Robert: Oh. [Robert chuckles]
Robert: All right. Bye-bye, sweetheart.
Opal: Bye-bye. Thanks, again.
Robert: Not at all.
Then this guy walks over to Rober and Robert says “What took you so long, huh? Have you got it?”
Danger is lurking…as is evidenced by the cymbal sound in the vidcap above. The next time we see Robert he’s still with this guy. The guy hands him small diamond and says “Cut and polished — flawless stone.” Robert says “Thank you Mrs. Remington”. Here’s some very tellling dialogue for our own chatter later….
Man: She had no idea she was wearing a diamond around her neck all these years?
Robert: In this uncut state, she couldn’t tell.
Man: Well, you got any more, bring them by.
Robert: Oh, you think this is something, you just wait till you see the next rock. And my new friend Jesse Hubbard is going to lead me right to it.
We then see Angie and Jesse still in bed of course and Angie says it’s strange that they didn’t find Mrs. Remington’s necklace in any of Papel’s things. That’s our gurl - she knows…anyways before I further digress…Jesse asks her what the necklace looked like and she says it was a big old rock and it obviously meant a lot to her. Here’s there dialogue:
Jesse: And this guy Papel took it?
Angie: That’s what the police think.
Jesse: But they didn’t find it in any of his stuff?
Angie: No.
Jesse: I mean, Derek would’ve said something if they had.
Angie: What do you think it means?
Jesse: Oh, nothing. I’m sure it’s going to turn up somewhere.
End scene and that’s it for today….but wait PREVIEW a coming soon!
Okay, you know, I couldn’t just put this pitiful preview scene alone in my final vidcap today, so I included some of slimey Robert and then Angie & Jesse at the end as mentioned above. And without further adieu….
This is a continuation of the second scene of A&J today…they are sitting at their table, candles lit, lots of great looking food and two beautiful people….
[Angie and Jesse giggling]
Jesse: No, you didn’t. That’s not what I think it is, is it?
Angie: Raspberry.
Jesse: Oh. You —
[Angie chuckles]
Jesse: You woman, you. You know how to take care of me, don’t you?
Angie: Shall we?
Jesse: Yeah.
[They join hands]
Angie: Dear Lord, thank you for this feast. It is through your greatness, o God, that we are brought here today. We survived the storm. And here we are, a family. We are one. Bless us, Father. Bless us, and show us how to love, and allow us to hold each other close, and never let go. Never again.
Scene ends …
then next scene at the table…
Angie: How many times have I talked to Him? How many times have I prayed about you? Prayed that I would — I would never forget your face, your smile? Your touch? Your scent? Prayed that I would never forget, Jesse — forget how much I loved you?
Jesse: You weren’t alone, baby. You weren’t alone praying. I prayed so much for my family’s safety and well-being, peace of mind. Most of all, God knows I prayed that you would never forget about me.
Angie: How could I ever forget about you? I always felt you, always.
Jesse: And now, I just pray that this is all over. After all these years, here we are. It’s brought us to right now. It don’t get more real than that — does it? You and me, baby?
Angie: I love you. From the deepest part of my soul, I love you.
Scene ends…with well you all know….

“The family that prays together, stays together.” I don’t know who’s responsible for that prayer we saw today–Agnes Nixon, Debbi or Darnell–but that scene reaffirms my love for this couple. They are, without a doubt, the most realistic couple in daytime! That scene at the dinner table–Angie thanking God for the meal and her husband’s return–nothing short of brilliant!!! IMHO, All My Hubbards is the best show in town.

RayvenJaymes, I was totally beside myself when she started praying. I told my husband can you believe that it is not a traditional Thanksgiving, or Christmas scene and this DAYTIME couple is praying?!!! The writers for their segment of the show truly need to get emmys and we all know Debbi and Darnell do as well. They are sooo rock solid that they other segments of the show just do not hold a candle to them.
Otter, the website looks fabulous!!! I can not wait to see the rest for today!!!

I was wondering when Angie/ Jesse or somebody was gonna pray “give some thanks”. I remember when Angie was praying to Jesse in the chapel (Frankie was sick) and I was like Ummm hello ????? Why not ask God for what U need and ask 4 more strength and wisdom. ( Not a sermon just a thought) But better late than never and it was good 2 C she seemed comfortable praying. BTW, what did she buy a 2 level condo???? Is the bedroom right off of the the eating area???

I feel ya, Aleta. And TSUDelta ITA re: the chapel scene. I was like “Lord forgive ‘em” LOL. You ain’t hearing anything cuz ole girl is praying to Jesse. Had she said Jesus, I would have been straight!
But I’m glad they corrected that today. I really think Debbi and Darnell are being allowed to give their input b/c I don’t trust these writers as far as you can throw ‘em!
And I’m also wondering abou the condo. It’s cute but these are 3 grown people–J, A, and F–they need more space. Or maybe Frankie needs to get his own crib so that his mama and daddy can have free reign.
All’s honorable in the marital bed! LOL!

Ya know, I could just be really reading into this but is it me or does anyone notice that if you seen them back in the 80’s that he seemed for after her love, like chasing her down, fighting to be with her and the baby then he does now. I know that his pass has got him botherd, but when she gets to talking about their future he’s always got something to nock her back. I’m sure he really does love her no dought but, she’s putting more energy in then he is Hummmmm !!

In regards to today’s episode, all I can say is “wow” It was soooo good. The way Jesse looked deep into Angie’s eyes, she knew, dinner would have to wait!!! I’m still grinning:-) And Otter, girlfriend–you are the best!!!! You make it possible to get through the day. I can not thank you enough. Also, it is such a pleasure to dialog with all of you. Prior to joining A&J, it was difficult to to find someone to talk to about my obsession—I must admit, I got it bad:-)
I think the beauty of Jesse and Angie is that (for me) I grew up with these two–I remember in college, running back to the dorm to catch each episode. So, when AMC brought these two back, it was like bringing back a old friend. And damn, they make older love look awfully delicious!!!! This has given me a whole new set of friends. I’m enjoying this, a lot!!! Hey guys, have a great week-end.

Leolagirl, I’m obsessed too! I agree about the older love thing…gives me a lot of hope & encouragement being that I’m single and 10 years younger than them…I mean I know it’s a soap, but ya’ll know what I’m trying say, right???
Debbie said in one of her interviews that she told AMC if she came back their s/l had to be realistic…how real can you get when you are giving God HIS glory & praise…HALLELUJAH!
My favorite line of the day was when A. asked J. where he had been and he said he was checking out the fire escape and the stairwell…LOL!

Shannon- I just think with Jesse it’s going to take some time for him to really step into his life now, as opposed to running to stay alive. 20yrs is long time to live like that in soap world so they will bprobably let that linger for a little bit.
Soooooooooooooo Okay as sweet as they were today, can you guys imagine what that dream date will be like?

Leolagirl and jav——-I think the magic with Debbi and Darnell is that looking at them you dont really think its older love it’s just them loving each other, if that makes sense. I really dont think about the age thing when I see them. But I am really glad they let him do their thing with the dialogue!

Shannon- I don’t think he loves her any less than he did 20 years ago. I just think he is too afraid to let himself feel it because he’s still afraid it’s going to be taken away again.
Alicia- I agree that age doesn’t factor into it. The connection between the two of them is real. These two people care for and respect one another. And it shows! I don’t see any specific age when I look at them. I just see two amazingly beautiful people in love! They make it real! And Debbi makes me jealous! She gets more beautiful every day AND she gets PAID to cuddle up to that FINE Darnell Williams! She’s a lucky woman! LOL.
What they give us in their performances is spectacular. And I am grateful!

Aman to that RavenJaymes!! I said the same thing! No one ever says grace on daytime! You know she loves him…she says some things even he can’t imagine…like when he read the letter she wrote to Remy…she would give her life for his any day and he knows that. Erica wish one of her husbands loved her the way he loves Angie!

TSUDelta…if you look at they’re home…it looks like the same condo that Erica/Bianca/Josh had. The kitchen is in the same place…just J n A have a table where the couch and chairs were. I guess they are using the same set. They deserve there own..not a used set!

I really do not know what to say about Angie and Jesse scenes today,other than they touched my heart. The prayer and the words spoken were from the heart, it did not seem scripted or even part of a dialogue. All of Angie and Jesse’s scene seem to flow with such grace and ease.
Angie has such a sweet spirit and Jesse is without a doubt her soulmate!
I can wait to see what lies ahead for the Hubbards!

Aliciayg2, it’s not that I see them as older when they are doing their scenes, but for me it’s knowing that they are older. In other words, it’s not them from 20 yrs ago, but a more mature J&A.

I’m watching those Angie/Jesse scenes again this morning and it is so strange…I ‘m crying because they mean different things to me.
The scene with the prayer and words spoken afterward, today I’m thinking of the woman that raised me…my G-Grandmother (big mama) she died about 18 years ago and everyday, I think of her and pray that I will never forget her face, her touch, her smile , her smell…but then everyday those memories grow dim!
So yes, I can relate to those scenes, but for different reasons, I’m so thankful to DM/DW for how they played those scenes, to remind us all to be thankful for the memories!!

I feel U Taylor. I’m gonna add to my prayers that I never forget those things about my dad. Though its been 12 yrs. I still remember a lot for now. I’m fortunate that I’m the youngest of 8 from a 40yr marriage and we are able to talk about Dad all the time (little things he used to say and stuff). Better yet some of my nephews have some of my dad’s features. I have those days when I laugh and other days where the tears fall. It does my heart good to hear my neices and nephews mention granddad or quote him. It’s funny how smells can bring back pleasant memories. A few months ago I was talking w/ a co-worker and all of sudden I get a the aroma of Jergens lotion (orginal cherry)…. I just blurted out you smell like my Grandma! He said “why did U have 2 put me on blast?” I apologized. That scent made my day.

Boy…I tell U…these 2 R unbelieveable!!! I love it when he wipes her tears…that is soo sweet! Angie says things to Jesse that he even can’t imagine. He sees everyday…every thought…every feelin’ and everthing she does…it’s all about him!! I think she loves him more than her own child!
“I love you from the bottom of my soul!” Man…that was it for me! All he could do was look at her…he truly knows her love for him is beyond the relm of thought or normal felings! I couldn’t see any other woman playin’ her part.

hello everyone. it is good to be here and to have a new group of friends that i can share my thoughts with about my favorite daytime super couple. otter, you are the bomb and thank you so much for the vids and scripts. i teach pre-k and take a break everyday to watch amc. i’ve been watching it closely for the past 3 years and i grew up watching it with my mom and grandma.
first off i would like to say that the passion and chemistry that these to share is off the charts. i sometimes wonder if these to should be together for real because if you did’nt know any better, they seem that way. they both look wonderful together and i guess their friendship means more to them both. she has been married several times and they don’t see to work out. at least she has no kids and baby daddy drama and darnell has no kids either. it is so cute the way they support each other and maybe them being back together on amc will spark something like it did for maria and edmond and haley and mateo.
i watched their first scene again and that cabin was on fire. they made that looked really real, but nothing could compare to the prayer and her telling him that she loved him. all i could do was cry and watch it over and over again. i could feel the depths of her soul and love she had for him. from the looks of things, he was in disbelief as well and all he could do was just stare in her eyes and kiss her very passionately. they deserve emmys for sure now because they are playing the hell out of these characters and some of it is not all acting.
