Wednesday’s Episode (3/19/08)
As we begin today our first scene of A&J is back at the safe house. Jesse is still on the phone with Tad about Frankie and Colby. Tad is on the way over. Back at Chandler mansion, Adam and Krystal are both freaking out about Colby being missing. And at the safe house we see Jesse blaming himslef for doing this to his son and we cut to intro muzak/credits.
After the intro, we’re back with Angie & Jesse…oh gurls (and boys) Ms. Morgan has got some words today for Jesse…YOU OWE ME…that’s what comes from Angie (to Jesse) in our next scene…this will be a vidcap! SEE BELOW…
This scene continues with Frankie & Colby each trying to get comfortable within the constraints of the ropes. Frankie’s trying to get them free from the ropes by moving around causing them both a great amount of discomfort. They bicker back and forth a bit. Colby wants to know if the kidnappers want money or if they think they are someone else. Frankie tells her to stop moving around because any move she makes could strangle them both as he continues to wiggle around in the ropes. Frankie tells her if she wants to get out of here alive she needs to do what he says. Colby states the obvious and says they could die! She tells Frankie he sounds like he’s not scared and this is all normal for him and they have to get out of there. Frankie suggests she call her personal banker or whip out her gold card to fix everything. She accuses him of calling her spoiled (no brainer there). He tells her he’ll call her whatever it will take to keep her quiet! “I am not spoiled. I just want to go home,” Colby says as they move the scene over to Tad still at the Chandler mansion, trying to leave, but Adam is being his usual PITA self. Tad is not letting Adam know that Colby has been kidnapped and tells him maybe she needed a break and took off for a bit - teenagers do that. He tells him to try to relax. “This is on your head, Martin. You dragged my entire family in this case because you’re not fit to handle it on your own. What’s the body count on your watch lately?” Adam snarls. (Oh he’s so rude!) Krystal tells Adam to stop, dont’ say that. Tad says he’s going to handle it and he’ll look for Colby as he excuses himself and leaves. Adam wants to go after Tad but Krystal stops him from doing so. Adam yells at her that he wants his daughter and she tells him that Colby will be there soon. “Do you — do you really take that buffoon’s word? Really? What if it were Babe, or Jenny? Would you be standing here in front of me?” Adams says. Krystal tells him to let Tad do what he has to do. Adam tells her he knows she knows something…”Damn it, I want to know what it is!” End scene.
Back after commercial Adam is tells Krystal that she and Tad know something about Colby and he demands that she tell him what it is. She tells him if she knew something she would tell him. He calls her a liar several times and says she lied to him about Charlotte aka Jenny and now she’s lying to him about his REAL daughter, Colby. “You’d rather just leave her out there, let something happen to her, than tell me where she is, whether she’s in danger and from whom,” he shouts. Krystal asks him to calm down…just calm down. He asks if she wants to hurt him - does she really want to hurt him and make him suffer because of what he did to Jenny. Oh for godsake, the man is now on his knees begging and pleading to Krystal! She tells him to get up off the floor. He refuses says he’s begging her - this is for Colby. “You love Colby — I know you do. And you’re scared. I can see it in your eyes, but she’s my baby. She’s my little baby girl and — and if she’s not safe –,” he pleads. Krystal can’t take it any longer and tells him that it’s true, someone bad took her.
End scene. Vidcap below continues with the tail end from the scene above and more.
After the commercial we see Tad asking Jesse where the hell he thinks he’s going and that he told him not tod anything. Jesse tells Tad that this is worse than bad. “This is my son and Liza Colby’s kid? You kidding me? That’s practically your daughter — our kids, Tad!” he says. Angie tells Tad that Jesse was going to run out there and that she knows what he was going to do. He was going to paint a bulls-eye on his forehead and does he really want to have his wife grieve more for him? “You don’t think she’s suffered enough,” she says. Here’s some dialogue:
Jesse: What — she’s suffering now. I’m supposed to watch this?
Tad: Jesse, listen to me. As bad as this is, things are not the same as they were — you’re not alone. You — you can’t go off half-cocked. You got to think, you got to slow down.
Angie: Jesse? I can do this. I can get through this if I know that you’re with me. But if I have to worry about losing you —
Jesse: So, you suggest we do what?
Tad: We don’t know yet. But the man who tortured you 20 years ago is doing the same thing right now because he wants you to feel like this. Knowing that is the only thing we’ve got going for us. Now, he’s going to make a call. He’s got to, to let us know what he wants. That’s when we make our move. That’s when we’re going to get our kids back.
Back at Chandler mansion Adam is ripping Krystal a new one calling Tad a liar and accusing him of leaving Colby out there held captive, panicked and frightened. Yada, yada, rant rant Adam…Krystal tells Adam she loves Colby and that he knows that and that she wants her safe as much as he does. “To think I let you back in my house again. To think I trusted you with my daughter. No. You just don’t get it, do you? Don’t ever get in my way again,” Adam hisses as he brushes past her, headed out the front door.
Back from commercial and at the safe house, Tad says to Jesse as he “nudges” him back into the house “So can I take that as a “yes, Tad, I won’t do anything crazy”? Jesse yells that he wants his son back! Angie says they both do and that they’ll find him working together. Jesse tells her that working together is what has gotten them into this mess. Tad tells Jesse to listen to Angie and that maybe she has an idea. Angie says she needs to get to the hospital so she can check on security videos and see if there’s a recording of what happened. Maybe they can get a look at who took Frankie before this call comes in and get a jump on the kidnapper. “Good. This is good, this is good,” Jesse says. Here’s some great dialogue:
Angie: Don’t you take that a being able to run out of here after I leave and offer yourself up to this lunatic, because I know that you won’t let him because you’re my friend and
Tad: He’s with me until we get the phone call.
Angie: Well, I’ll be back before then.
Tad: Ok. Angie.
Angie: I love you. Jesse: I know you do. You’re my life. You’re the only reason I’m still standing, you and that boy. You know that.
Angie: We’re going to have our family back again, Jesse —
Jesse: Yeah.
Angie: Me, you, and Frankie, the way it was supposed to be.
Angie: Don’t you do anything until I get back.
Jesse: I promise.
Angie leaves…
Tad: So just out of curiosity, was that an act? You do intend to hold it together, right?
Jesse: You shouldn’t make her promises you can’t keep, Tad.
Tad: Jesse, please remember we’re on the same side. And you’re right about Colby, but not because she’s Liza’s little girl. She brought Jenny into the world.
Jesse: And I’m bringing her into this madness?
Tad: That’s not what I meant!
Jesse: You don’t get it, man — anything could happen. These men torture for fun. How long before they just, what, need a laugh and take it out on Frankie?
And then this happens…you gotta wait for a vidcap
BELOW
The next scene we see Colby and Frankie - she’s wearing him out with her mouth, rambling on about anything and everything. Talks about doing dumb stuff, stealing cars and a yacht…and talks about how she’s done good things too like taking care of her baby sister and working at the Comeback…talks about her dad and them all not being perfect but she loved him…finally she stops and Frankie says “And you finally ran out of air. I thought you’d do a whole lot better than that”. Colby tells him he doesn’t deserve to know anything about her. “Whatever you say. I grew up without a Dad, too. But my Mother — she’s the best Mother in the world,” Frankie says.
Next scene cuts to PVH and Angie is looking around for something. A nurse asks her if she needs some results and Angie tells her she just needed to check out some security footage because she lost something and wanted to see if she could figure out where. The nurse presses her as to what she lost and Angie tells her she lost her keys and they are on a green key chain. The nurse says she’ll let her know if she finds anything and heads off. Angie picks up the phone and calls security and asks them for an access code.
End scene…commercials…
Back at PVH we see Angie on the phone. She’s telling security that camera 26 in the parking garage has static instead of footage. They interrupt her and say something to which she responds “what do you mean? Well, why wasn’t it fixed?” she asks. Just then out of the corner of her eye she sees Krystal approaching and quickly gets off the phone. Angie asks Krystal if Tad sent her there to check up on her. Krystal tells her that “A mother’s brain goes places, I guess ours brought us both here. I’m just looking for clues, anything.” Angie lets her know that the security cameras are useless so far. She said she loses sight of Frankie and Colby once they each get into the elevator. Krystal thinks maybe that’s where they got grabbed and lets Angie know that Colby “is as sharp as a tack and she’s going to keep a cool head.” She says if there is anyway for her to leave a clue, she would. Angie tells her that if Frankie could see a chance to save them both, he would take it. They are clearly trying to console each other as best they can. Krystal tells Angie she is going to go check out the garage. Angie’s going to check the elevator bank and we cut to scene with Frankie and Colby.
Frankie tells Colby she talks a lot which is clearly a mistake because that just makes her start all over again. As she continues to ramble about Adam, Frankie is still working on getting them out of the ropes. She whines that what he’s doing hurts and he says if you want to see your Dad, then you need to do what I say. “You hear me?” he says. She concedes and says she hears him. He tells her they have to get out of there for all our parents.
