This is an offtopic posting for this blog, but I I thought one worth sharing. I try to watch The View on a daily basis and really enjoy the panel conversations. Mostly the hot topics are of interest to me. Today’s episode featured clips Barbara was showing from her upcoming Oscar’s show.
This clip is of Vanessa Williams and the censors bleeped/silenced her use of the word “N’ word - I hate that phrase…it’s so juvenile! The panel then has a discussion about this which was quite interesting.
No time to write today so far b/c this ep is jammed full of A&J storyline!! FINALLY! Seriously it’s like almost all us so far…of course that may be all of it, but ty for it at the beginning!
4:00 PM - UPDATE
No recap to share, but here’s the first few minutes of AMC today and as you can see - it’s really all about our supercouple!!!
Here’s a few screen pics from my tv today until I can get to a recap…
RECAP STARTING…
You’ve already got the first part of today’s episode in video format above so all continue with my recap from there…there is one piece from the intro that need to be covered first.
The storyline today does intertwine Greenlee and Kendall which also brings along Zach and Aidan. Both Greenlee and Kendall, as you will recall at the end of yesterday episode were called to come into the police station. After the opening Jesse/Angie scenes, we are shown the police station where the four of them are listening to Derek. He tells them that they found a skeleton in the bomb shelter and that is somebody that they knew.
After the intro credits, we’re brought back to the Jesse and Frankie seen in the cabin. Jesse tells Frankie that he never chose to leave his family. Frankie is in disbelief over him being alive, recounting how his mother was there when he died. Jesse tells him that it wasn’t real. It was all staged by the men who took him away. He continues to tell Frankie just a little bit of the same story he told Angie yesterday. He doesn’t want to worry him but Frankie tells him he needs to know what these people did to him. So Jesse fills him in and tells of the only reason he broke cover now was because of Frankie’s condition. Jesse has to make sure he told Frankie he loved him one last time, in case he didn’t pull through. They continue their heart to heart — Frankie talks about being five years old trying to understand death and listening to his mother crying herself to sleep at night. Jesse apologizes to him again and says he never meant for that to happen. He tells him that the only reason he stayed away was to keep him and his mother safe.
Cut outside the cabin where Tad, Krystal and Angie are talking. Angie is pacing back and forth at a pretty good clip and Tad tells her that if she doesn’t take it easy she’s going to dig herself a trench. She tells him she’s worried about Frankie. Tad asks how she’s doing with all this. She says she feels like she just woke up from a horrible nightmare…Jesse and Frankie in the same room after all these years. Krystal chimes in and says she thinks it does a heart good! Angie tells her that if it wasn’t for her suggesting that she take the train the other day…and Krystal says she’s just glad that Angie has her family back. Tad apologizes for not telling her the Jesse was alive. And as usual our Angie is gracious and accepts his apology saying that she knows that Jesse was trying to protect us. BUT she thinks that Jesse isn’t telling her the full story. She thinks that whatever Jesse is hiding has something to do with her.
Back over to police station … Greenlee is looking at a photo of the body in the shelter. Apparently his name was John Remington, nicknamed “Remy”. Derek said he knew of him and that he had dated Angie after Jesse was killed of the line of duty. Derek says Jesse was a good cop and that’s how he died, he took a bullet for Remy. Greens asked how John Remington disappeared and Derek told says that is the mystery. Everybody thought that Remy left town.
Switch to Babe and JR scene…Back to the cabin were Jesse and Frankie are continuing their talk. Frankie wants to know more details but Jesse says they can talk about that later. Right now he wants to hear about Frankie. Frankie tells them that he did an internship at the hospital in PV. Jesse says with Dr. Jake but he left the program, showing Frankie that he was keeping track of what was going on his life. Frankie says he enlisted in that and you didn’t want him to go and it was a tough time for them. They talk about how Angie is a protective momma lion and just a stubborn — both have a good laugh over that. Frankie says he doesn’t know what he wants to do at this life and he’s just been kind of drifting since he came back to PV. He tells Jesse that he wishes that he would have been around so he could tell him what he should be doing with his life. Jesse tells him, even if he would have been there, he couldn’t have told him what to do with his life. Here some dialogue:
Jesse: We make our decisions and then we got to live by them Frankie
Frankie: Is that what you did when you decided to stay away?
Jesse: Yeah, I live by it, but I hated every minute of it. So many times, I thought about coming back home to my family, but I couldn’t. These men, if they knew that I was still alive, they would come for you and your mother, so I made the decision to protect you and live my life on the run.
Jesse: and I would do it over and over again in a heartbeat. Keeping you and your mother safe — – it’s all worth it. You get is mad at me is you want, and you have every right to, but being here with you right now, seeing that you are all grown up and alive. Frankie, I love you more than my life.
Switch over to a scene with JR and Babe. And then back over to the police station where Greenlee is asking Derek if they know how Remy gotten into that hole. Derek said it looks like he was shot at close range and them buried next to the bomb shelter. Zack suggested it sounded like a mob-style execution and Derek said that was their best guess. And thanks to him and Greenlee they were starting a full-scale murder investigation. Commercial break.
Outside the cabin… Krystal is telling tad that the kind of love that Angi and Jesse have, it doesn’t happen to everybody. Ted says he guesses and she says you know — you had that kind of love with Dixie. Tad says there are all kinds of love sweetheart. She agrees but says the kind of love Jesse and Angie have is the kind they write about in movies…it’s just so romantic. Tad tells her they’ve also had their tragedies as well. Krystal agrees but believes they are on their way to a happy ending and Tad tells her just like you and me. LOL
Back at the police station… Greens and Kendall are talking about Remy, thinking he must’ve been involved in some really bad stuff. And they talk about spike in the pregnancy scare etc. Switch over to a scene with JR and then back to our supercouple and Frankie. Frankie tells his Jesse he needs to tell Angie everything, that she’s strong and can handle it. Jesse says he’ll tell her as much as he can, BUT the men that wanted him were dangerous and still are. Frankie tells Jesse he never forgot about him and he always missed him - they hug. Cut to commercial break.
After Jesse and Frankie hug, Jesse tells Frankie that he’s not staying, he needs to leave for his an Angie’s safety. Frankie says he won’t just let Jesse disappear again, he’s not a little boy anymore. He will help fight with his dad. And on cue Tad, Krystal and Angie come through the cabin door. Tad says he and a lot of other people will stand beside Jesse and they can all work together to keep him and the family safe. Jesse still wants to leave and Angie says he’s been on the run for 20 years and he will stop running now. Commercial break.
Okay, rest your eyes a bit from my meaty recap. Sit back and watch the last few minutes of our supercouple on today’s episode:
